We currently have a vacancy for a Master. This is a staff position, start date flexible. Role: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Health, safety and welfare of all personnel working on the offshore installation and the protection of the environment.
- Responsible for the operation of the vessel, the gangway and all other plant and equipment within safe limits and in accordance with the terms of the contract.
- Responsible for maintaining operational records and files onboard and for ensuring that he certification is always kept up to date.
- Responsible for the implementation of the shipboard management systems. Also responsible for regularly reviewing the systems with a view to identifying and recommending improvements. A record of Master’s reviews shall be maintained onboard and is part of the
- Company Management Review.
- In sole charge of any emergency response.
- Ultimately responsible for the vessels maritime safety and operation as laid down in maritime law.
Qualifications and Experience: - Certificate of Competency - Master Mariner
- Offshore Survival
- UKOOA Medical
- Offshore Coxswain – OPITO Approved
- Offshore Emergency Response Fire Team Member – OPITO Approved
- Must have previous offshore experience
