Title: Metering Technician
Our client has an urgent requirement for a Metering Technician Duties and responsibilities: - Maintain the integrity, operation and maintenance of oil, gas and environmental flow measurement systems in accordance with CNRI and statutory requirements.
- Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of the equipment principles of operation.
- Verify, calibrate and maintain oil and gas fiscal and allocation metering systems, sampling systems and prover loops.
- Monitor and control metering system performance and provide technical recommendations to offshore and onshore personnel.
- Identify, repair and report breakdowns; including mismeasurements and supporting data.
- Assist with management of spares and test equipment.
- Maintain appropriate auditable certificates, records and logbooks to DECC standards.
- Implement operating and maintenance procedures, or supervise their implementation, to the highest standards.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of relevant pipeline requirement and an awareness of AGA and ISO codes of practice.
- Review SOR’s , FDS and project specifications for metering system equipment and instrumentation requiring offshore user input and provide feedback to onshore personnel.
- Be familiar with relevant practices and procedures for the management of supply chains for test equipment and measurement devices.
- Be familiar with onshore reporting requirements for mismeasurements and daily allocation.
- Ensure all workscopes are completed safely efficiently and in a timely manner according to the maintenance plan.
- Ensure detailed and accurate records of planned or unplanned maintenance activities are recorded within the CMMS.
- Assist with audits and the close-out of any corrective actions.
- Review and report on proposed metering system upgrades (including workpacks) prior to implementation and carry out any ad-hoc support work as required.
- Provide feedback on workscope progress and technical issues.
- Effectively liaise with onshore management and contract focal point engineer.
- Carry out assigned duties as part of an integrated maintenance team.
- Liaise with relevant departments as required to effectively carry out duties.
- Ensure that Daily Work Report and a comprehensive end of trip Hand-Over Report is handed to the Maintenance and Production Supervisors.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and Environment.
Critical Skills - Technically competent in the operation and maintenance of offshore measurement systems.
- Administratively competent in the preparation of reports and maintenance of necessary certification, documentation and log books.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications HNC or HND with ability to demonstrate appropriate experience in flow measurement. Alternatively, demonstrate appropriate knowledge and previous experience in a similar position.
